Screening is only allowed under certain legal conditions (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG)):

• You must have a legitimate reason (justified interest) for the screening.
• The screening must be necessary.
• You must comply with the duty to inform.
• You may not use the data obtained from the screening for any other purpose than for which you obtained them.
• You may only retain the data for as long as necessary for the purpose of the screening. You must securely protect the data.

Digital application via Justis (information from theJustiswebsite)

A digital VOG application starts with you as the employer: you prepare the VOG application online for your employee. Subsequently, an email (automatically) goes to the employee for whom you want the VOG. Your employee only needs to verify their details and pay for the VOG application online. The cost for a digital VOG application via Justis is €33.85 (VAT exempt) and can be done via: My Justis - VOG-NP Application Form.

Written application

You can also choose to use a written application route. Here, you and your employee fill out the written application form for the VOG together. The completed form is submitted by the employee at the municipality hall by appointment. The municipality forwards the application details to Justis.

Your employee or volunteer pays for the VOG application.

• a digital VOG application costs: € 33.85 
• a written VOG application to the municipality costs: € 41.35

The employee or volunteer will receive the VOG or the denial within 4 weeks at the address you specify in the application.
