Do you want to place a slot machine? Then you must apply for a permit. This permit is called a presence permit. No license is required for a machine of skill, such as a pinball machine.
There is a difference between ‘high-threshold’ and ‘low-threshold’ establishments.
- High-threshold establishments include cafes, bars and nightclubs. These companies are allowed to have two slot machines, both games of chance and skill machines.
- Low-threshold establishments include snack bars, canteens and restaurants. These companies are allowed to have two skill machines (so no gambling machines).

- for 1 slot machine for a period of 4 years: € 226.50
- for 2 or more slot machines for a period of 4 years:
- a basic amount of € 90.50.
- and € 136.00 is added for every subsequent slot machine.
We will make a decision within 8 weeks. We can extend this term once by a maximum of 8 weeks.
