Are you an SME business owner and do you want to expand to the international market? Or are you already active in the international market but do you need support? You can participate in the Orange Trade Mission Fund (Oranje Handelsmissiefonds, OHMF).

The Orange Trade Mission Fund helps small and medium-sized enterprises to successfully enter new foreign markets. Each year a committee selects 10 SMEs which stand out on topics such as sustainability, creativity, or innovation. Selected SMEs receive advice, coaching, and networking opportunities for 1 year (in Dutch).

Who can apply?

Dutch SMEs can participate if they meet the criteria (in Dutch):

  • You are an SME with at most 250 employees.
  • You have a turnover of more than €250,000 per year.
  • You want to enter the international market, or you are already active internationally but could use support.
  • Your SME is financially sound. Nominees need to provide financial results of the past 2 years.
  • You are able to scale up and hire more staff if the transition to the international market is successful.
  • You stand out from your competitors in sustainability, creativity or innovation.

How to apply

You can apply for the 2026 Orange Trade Mission Fund competition from 3 February 2026 until 7 May 2026 (in Dutch).
