Subsidy or grant

Are you a writer or translator of literary works? You can apply for a subsidy from the Dutch Foundation for Literature (Nederlands Letterenfonds). The Dutch Foundation for Literature promotes Dutch literature and supports writers and translators of literature in Dutch, Frisian, and Papiamento.

You can apply, for example, for a subsidy to write or translate a book, or to create another type of literary work, such as a theatre script or a podcast. Or for your own development as a writer or translator, such as training, coaching, or a study trip. There are various subsidies for writers and for translators (in Dutch).

Use the Subsidy Guide (Subsidiewijzer, in Dutch) from the Dutch Foundation for Literature to find out which schemes are suitable for you.
