Subsidy for hydrogen production by electrolysis (OWE)

Do you want to produce renewable (sustainable) hydrogen with an electrolyser? You can apply for the Subsidy scheme Scaling up fully renewable hydrogen production via electrolysis (OWE). The subsidy helps cover the investment costs of your production chain and the hydrogen production itself.

What are the conditions for the OWE?

You can apply for the OWE subsidy if you:

• will build a hydrogen production plant for a sustainable production of hydrogen throughout the production process
• will use an electrolyser with a capacity of 0.5 to a maximum of 50 megawatts
• apply for the subsidy before you start using the hydrogen production plant and before you make any commitments (such as payments and orders)
• are not dependent on a different subsidy scheme to start your project

How to apply?

You can no longer apply for the OWE with RVO. You could apply from 30 November 2023, 9:00 hours until 14 December 2023, 17:00 hours.
