Statutory minimum wage to go up extra

What changes?

Do you employ staff? The statutory minimum wage will go up with an extra 7.5%. The increase will take place in 3 annual steps:

  • in 2023 the statutory minimum wage will go up with 2.5%
  • in 2024 the statutory minimum wage will go up with 2.5%
  • in 2025 the statutory minimum wage will go up with 2.32%

Ultimately, the wage increase will be 7.5%.

For whom?

  • entrepreneurs employing staff

When?

It is expected this change will enter into effect on 1 January 2023.

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet final. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the upper and lower houses of parliament or proclamation of the Order in Council (Algemene Maatregel van Bestuur, AMvB) or ministerial decree and publication in the Staatsblad or Staatscourant (Government Gazette, in Dutch).
