What changes? 

Are you an employer? And do you have employees between the ages of 16 and 20? If so, the youth minimum wage for your employees will go up per 1 January 2027. This will bring the youth minimum wage closer to the standard minimum wage. 

For whom? 

  • Entrepreneurs who employ workers between the ages of 16 and 20. 

When? 

It is expected this change will take effect per 1 January 2027

Please note: The effective date of this measure is not yet final. Entry into force is subject to its passing through the Lower and Upper Houses (Tweede en Eerste Kamer) of parliament. After publication in the Staatsblad or Staatscourant (Government Gazette, in Dutch) the law can take effect.
