Maritime innovation projects subsidy
Does your company work on projects that help make shipping smarter, safer, or more sustainable? You can apply for the maritime innovation projects subsidy scheme.
What are the conditions for the subsidy?
You can apply for the subsidy scheme for maritime innovation projects if you meet the conditions, such as:
- you work in a partnership consisting of at least 2 maritime companies
- you start the project within 6 months of receiving the subsidy, and you finish your project within 4 years
- your project contributes to 1 or more of the subsidy’s central themes (in Dutch), such as reducing emissions, smart shipping and ship building, or sharing maritime data

How to apply?
The coordinator of the partnership (penvoerder) can apply for the maritime innovation projects subsidy scheme with RVO on behalf of the partnership. They can apply from 4 November 2025, 9:00 hours until 6 February 2026, 17:00 hours.
The coordinator submits the application for the innovation project. They must include a project plan and a substantiated budget with the application.
