What changes?
Do you buy or import a passenger car? In 2025, you will pay more private vehicle and motorcycle tax (bpm). The bpm consists of a fixed starting tariff (fixed rate) and a variable tariff (depending on the vehicle’s emissions). In 2025, the fixed rate went up to €667. In 2024, the fixed rate was €440.

When?
The change in law has taken effect on 1 January 2025.
