Is your address listed in the Dutch Business Register (Handelsregister)? The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) will shield home addresses of entrepreneurs and directors. Shielded home addresses will only be shown to government organisations or specific professions that have a legal authorisation. For instance, the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration, lawyers, or bailiffs.
Addresses that are listed as busines address will still be retrievable.
Many self-employed entrepreneurs have the same business address as their home address. The government is looking into options to better protect their privacy as well.

This change in the 2008 Act on the Business Register has entered into force on 1 January 2022.
