Products, services, and innovations

Prohibition on pledging clauses are intended to prevent unknown debtors from reporting. This will no longer be allowed. Read more.

Retail and wholesale

If you manufacture or sell smart devices you must make sure these meet minimum requirements to ensure the digital security of devices connected to the internet – Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Read more.

From 1 July cigars and e-cigarettes (vapes) may only be sold in neutral packaging. This plain packaging requirement already applies to cigarettes and rolling tobacco. Read more.

Transport

A registration and licence plate requirement will apply for all special motorised vehicles (bijzondere bromfietsen) that are newly introduced. For example the BSO bus or a self-balancing moped (Segway). Find out more.

If you or your employee have had a regular driving licence for at least 2 years, you will be allowed to drive heavier vehicles. This only applies to sustainable vehicles powered alternatively. Read more.
