If you let residential accommodation, either as a private business or as an accepted institution for social rented housing and you provide housing for asylum applicants with a temporary residence permit (vergunninghouders), you may be eligible for a subsidy. The Temporary Housing for Residence Permit Holders Incentive (Tijdelijke regeling stimulering huisvesting vergunninghouders) offers a subsidy for each dwelling you build. This applies both to newly built houses as well as existing buildings (e.g. offices) that have been made suitable for living purposes.
When do you qualify?
You are eligible for the subsidy if the dwelling:
- has been built after 30 november 2015
- is suitable for at least 4 permit holders
- is occupied by at least 4 permit holders over 18 years of age
- will exist for at least 5 years for this purpose
How to apply
If you have registered your intent to build before 31 December 2018, you can apply for the Temporary Housing for Residence Permit Holders Incentive (in Dutch) until 1 January 2021 with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
